Born 1961 in Munich, lives in Berlin Studied Germanic, philosophy and theater in Munich and Berlin. Doctoral theses on Else Lasker-Schüler.

Is a freelance critic (Süddeutsche Zeitung, Tagesspiegel u.a.) in Berlin. Member of the Jury of the German Book Prize 2008.
