Nicolas Gelormini

Nicolás Gelormini, born 1968 in Argentina. Studied Classical Philology at the University of Buenos Aires between 1986 and 1994. After graduation, he worked as a book dealer and freelance editor for various publishers. Freelance translator since 1999.

German-Argentinian translators' workshop

In 2008 Nicolás Gelormini was Translator in Residence at the European Translators' Centre in Straelen. In 2009 he organised the first German-Argentinian translators' workshop. He is a member of the Argentinian panel of judges on the Goethe Institute Litrix project.

Nicolás Gelormini nació en 1968 en la Argentina. Licenciado en Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, ha trabajado como librero, y más tarde como lector para distintas editoriales. Desde 1999 se dedica a la traducción de literatura alemana. En 2008 fue Translator in Residence del Colegio Europeo de Traductores en Straelen, Alemania. En 2009 coordinó junto a Silke Kleemann el primer Taller de Traductores argentino-alemán. Es jurado para Argentina del proyecto Litrix del Instituto Goethe.
