Gunther Geltinger, D

Born 1974 in Erlenbach, lives in Cologne. Studied screen and play writing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and as a postgraduate at the art college for media in Cologne.

Writes screenplays, radio plays and prose. In 2008 he published his first novel Mensch Engel with the publishers Schöffling & Co., which was nominated for the Aspekte Literatur Prize.

Geltinger took part in the authors workshop for prose at the Literary Colloquium Berlin and received various scholarships, including the Rolf Dieter Brinkmann Scholarship from the city of Cologne, a residence scholarship from the Literary Colloquium Berlin, a work scholarship from the Art Foundation NRW, a residence scholarship at the Artist's Houses at Edenkoben and Schreyahn as well as the Heinrich Heine Scholarship from the city of Lüneburg. 2011 he is the Island Writer for Sylt.
